Coaching Clinic and Youth Soccer Clinic RAYSL will run an F-license coaching clinic on the Monday the 13th and Thursday the 16th of September. Those who have coached before may only attend the session on the 16th. Those new to soccer or never coached before are strongly encouraged to attend both sessions. Application forms are found here. The venue is Rolla Middle school. Times are 5:30 to 7:30 pm on the 13th and 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm on the 16th. RAYSL and the Optimist Club will also run a one-day cinic for U6, U7, and U8 players on Thursday September 9, at the Rolla Middle school. The times are: 5:15-6:15 pm for U6 players and 6:30 to 7:30 pm for U7 and U8 players. Please send in your application postmarked no later than August 28th. Application forms are found here. Registration for Fall 2010 Season You may register either by submitting registration documents at one of our two walk-in registrations or by mail. Walk-in registration dates and times are Saturday August 21 and Saturday August 28 from 10 am to 2 pm. The venue is Mark Twain Elementary School cafeteria. Walk-in Registration Details Walk-in registration for both RAYSL and Optimist Club League players will be held on Saturday, August 21 and Saturday, August 28, from 10 am to 2 pm in the Mark Twain Elementary School cafeteria (old gym). Registration for the Optimist Club League is handled by the Rolla Optimist Club. Please see http://rollanet.org/~optimist/Soccer.htm for details. To register for the two RAYSL run programs, please bring a photocopy of your child’s birth certificate (if you have not submitted one to RAYSL previously) to one of the two walk-in registrations. At the registration you will be asked to fill out a Missouri Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) membership form. Registrants for the regular RAYSL program will also have to pay a $35 fee. RAYSL MISSION The Rolla Area Youth Soccer League was formed to provide youth in Rolla and its vicinity an opportunity to play organized soccer. RAYSL provides coed recreation level soccer for different age groups. No prior playing experience is required. All youths meeting the age requirements are welcome. In addition to having fun, competing, and socializing with peers, participants can expect to learn and improve on the fundamental skills necessary to play the game of soccer. The regular RAYSL recreational league play is conducted in three age brackets. They are: U-15:
born on or between August 1, 1995 and July 31, 1998. In addition, the Optimist sponsored RAYSL program will target the following two age brackets: U- 8:
born on or between August 1, 2002 and July 31, 2003.
Children born on or after August 1, 2004, play in the Rolla Optimist Soccer Program. Those who are interested in playing soccer at a competitive level should contact the Rolla Knights Soccer Club.
